Update 9/30/2018

Just wanted to share this information with you all! I think Shari and her team did amazing. Click on the video link above to see what she put together. Also think about what and if you’d like to participate in the silent auction, or in giving  some way to any of the charitable offerings that will be present on Giving Tuesday. Rock Forward is thrilled for this opportunity for awareness! We pray that God will bring generous hearts to impact the lives of children, families, and widows in Zimbabwe Africa, giving opportunities to begin sustainable businesses and ultimately have opportunities to share our Lord and Savior and empower the church.  Thanks so much for your prayers and your gifts to the Kingdom!

Hello Difference Makers!

I just wanted to give you all an update and timeline for what will be happening over the next 10 Tuesdays…(maybe there are 9 now)!

Matching Dollars

The biggest update to give you is that we have a commitment for $500,000 in MATCHING dollars for gifts given at #GivingTuesdayNWO!  Every dollar donated to a 501c3 at the event can be matched until we meet our limit of $500,000!  This is HUGE for everyone and a crazy goal for us to hit $1,000,000 of total gifts in ONE NIGHT!

Promotional Videos/Press Release

This is posted to our social media page and would be great if you could share it from the event page to draw people over as we post more content leading up to the event.  You can also include the link on your own websites, electronic mailing, etc.  If you don’t see yourself on this video, don’t worry.  He tried to fit everyone in but each of you who attended will have a whole video to yourselves featured as we get closer to the event.


I need you to send me the number of paper invitations you need by September 25th so we can get them printed and ready to go.  Please get back to me ASAP with your number of invitations you would like printed.  We will also have an electronic invitation ready for you by next week.

Timeline for YOU:

Number of Invitations Requested: Deadline September 25th

Electronic Invitations: Emailed by September 28th

Hard Copy Invitations: In your hand by October 8th

Mailing Invitations: Please have your invitations sent out by October 15th as this will be the start of our big push on the event.

Church Bulletin Inserts: We plan on sending them out to be included in bulletins on November 4th.  If you have a church you are affiliated with that you would like to distribute to, please let me know how many inserts you would like ASAP

Silent Auction

We are planning on having a Silent Auction for the night of the event and all of the proceeds will be divided between just our participating 14 non-profits.  I would like to see each non-profit be able to contribute 1 item to the auction to help me out.  As soon as you know what your item might be, please contact me so I can either pick it up or add it to our list.  Some ideas for items: If you know someone who has a rental house they could donate a weekend getaway, golf lessons, unique dining experiences, gift baskets, quilts, sporting event tickets, etc.

Thanks for your hard work on this!  Our goal now is to fill the atrium with as many givers as we can!  I will keep you posted on the number of tickets we have sold along the way!
